The Carousel Ball

    The signature fundraiser for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), the Carousel Ball brings together more than 800 of the region’s greatest philanthropists, corporate leaders and patient families for an evening of inspirational storytelling and immediate impact on the patients we serve.

    Since its inception, the Carousel Ball has been a catalyst for groundbreaking advancements in pediatric medicine. Each event builds upon the success of the last, driving transformative change for children and families around the world. Here’s a sample of the incredible impact we’ve made together:


  • 2023

    The Carousel Ball raised a record-breaking $4.1 million benefiting autism research and care. CHOP has one of the largest, most comprehensive autism programs in the country, conducting nearly 20,000 visits each year with children and youth on the autism spectrum.

  • 2019

    The Carousel Ball raised an amazing $3 million for CHOP’s Cardiac Center, where doctors provide world-class care — including performing approximately 600 open-heart procedures a year — and researchers work tirelessly to discover the next breakthrough for children.

  • 2017

    The Carousel Ball launched the $1.1 billion For Tomorrow’s Breakthroughs campaign and fueled cancer immunotherapy research leading to the first FDA-approved gene-therapy to treat pediatric leukemia — a paradigm-shifting cancer treatment with world-reaching implications.
