The Carousel Ball

The signature fundraiser for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), the Carousel Ball brings together more than 800 of the region’s greatest philanthropists, corporate leaders and patient families for an evening of inspirational storytelling and immediate impact on the patients we serve.

Since 1957, the Carousel Ball has accelerated discoveries that have profoundly changed pediatric medicine, transforming the lives of millions of children around the world and building the foundation for tomorrow’s breakthroughs.

The 2019 Carousel Ball raised an amazing $3 million for CHOP’s Cardiac Center, where doctors provide world-class care — including performing approximately 600 open-heart procedures a year — and researchers work tirelessly to discover the next breakthrough for children.

The 2017 Carousel Ball launched the $1.1 billion For Tomorrow’s Breakthroughs campaign and fueled cancer immunotherapy research leading to the first FDA-approved gene-therapy to treat pediatric leukemia — a paradigm-shifting cancer treatment with world-reaching implications.
