Making Tomorrow’s Breakthroughs a Reality
Thank you for joining us at the Carousel Ball on Oct. 7, 2017. The festive event combined the glamour of a formal affair with the goodwill that comes from supporting a great cause!
More than 700 guests in tuxedos and ball gowns danced the night away to live entertainment by Starlight Orchestras, dined on chef-inspired creations, and enjoyed breathtaking panoramic views of Philadelphia’s dazzling city lights. Serving as Master of Ceremonies was Savannah Guthrie, Co-Anchor of NBC’s TODAY.
The 2017 event was held at the Roberts Center for Pediatric Research, CHOP’s new, state-of-the-art facility located on the banks of the Schuylkill River. The Roberts Center was created to advance our knowledge of genetics, foster collaboration between clinical and research teams, and create individualized treatment for children with complex diseases.
The Time for Breakthroughs is Now
A highlight of the 2017 Carousel Ball was the launch of For Tomorrow’s Breakthroughs: The Campaign for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the most ambitious fundraising effort in the Hospital’s 162-year history. Our goal is to raise $1 billion by 2020 – and we’re already more than 80 percent there.
With your help, we can transform the patient-family experience, forge new discoveries, bolster training and education programs, advocate for children in underserved communities and quickly respond to new opportunities. Learn how you can help create a breakthrough for every child.
