A Night to Remember
Thank you for supporting today’s medicine and tomorrow’s breakthroughs
The 2017 Carousel Ball was an amazing success! The evening was filled with elegance and festivity as more than 700 guests danced, dined and celebrated the many discoveries at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) that have profoundly changed pediatric medicine. With your help, we raised more than $1.6 million to benefit the Cancer Immunotherapy Program at CHOP.
A highlight of this year’s event was the unveiling of For Tomorrow’s Breakthroughs: The Campaign for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the most ambitious fundraising effort in the Hospital’s 162-year history. By supporting this campaign, you will invest in the one place that can address all the challenges of children’s health and wellness. Learn more about Our Campaign.
About the Ball
A signature fundraiser for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia since 1957, the Carousel Ball is the highlight of the fall season for dedicated CHOP supporters and the rest of the philanthropic community. The 2017 black-tie gala raised funds for Cancer Immunotherapy, a revolutionary program offering new hope to children with treatment-resistant childhood cancers.
Guests of the 2017 Carousel Ball enjoyed breathtaking views of Philadelphia’s skyline and got an exclusive look inside the Roberts Center for Pediatric Research, a state-of-the-art facility created to advance genetics research and individualized medicine for children with complex diseases.
Hope for Tomorrow
Children whose cancers relapsed used to have few options. But CHOP’s cutting-edge Cancer Immunotherapy Program is changing that with a new therapy that reprograms a child’s immune system to destroy cancerous cells.
